go see avatar

i resisted seeing james cameron’s “avatar” but the man made me do it. i don’t know if it was the IMAX 3D treatment but i really liked it. two things:
- “unobtainium” is a stupid word. the rest of the flick was so creative and then … that. ugh.
- if you’re spending millions of dollars to make a blockbuster movie, commission a custom typeface for your subtitles. papyrus!?! c’mon! the type nerd in me was distracted and dismayed by that choice. i think i missed a small part of the movie because i was fixated on that stupid font choice. bad move, cameron.
check it out anyway.

I’ve only skimmed your blog/website and what I see I LOVE. You’re so damn smart and pretty- exactly the kind of girl I love to hate, but decide instead to love.
I don’t even know how I found you… through Rich Lovrich (sp?) on facebook friending me and I insist I don’t know him, although you lived here (Smalbany) and you know how it works…
Anyways, me like you and I intend to stay tuned. P.S. I just started my own blig yesterday. Its just lovely. Actually, its just one entry. You’ve kept me on track, writing to no one, for no one, but just writing my thoughts, quirks, annoyances and observations.
Is it tricky to know when to share or not? How do you draw your TMI line on this?
P.S. I posted originally because I am reading and following all-things-Avatar as of late… in fact, a day ago my fb profile pic was of a Na’vi foot, since I think my hugely giant big toe looks a lot like the ones the blue peeps were sporting. I like and concur with your observations in the film. I mean, so true, WTF is unobtanium- I tell you what it is- its is STUPID. Smh
